Fears for future of Blackburn rabbit population
actually its important for those people that have PET rabbits to know this information as it can kill quickly and is so painful to watch and try to bring back your child's furry best friend after a HUMAN introduced decease takes it away.
locals should be contacting their vets in regard to vaccinating their pet buns to help them fight this off.
don't be so heartless and look at the bigger picture.
if it was a parvo outbreak in something say Fox's
dog owners would need to know as the pets they own at are at risk. enjoy your bubble having witnessed rabbits die in this HORRIFIC way wouldn't wish upon anything let alone the "vermin" as you say..but hey not like anyone will care when all our wild life is gone

Support for Lancashire Telegraph's M65 lights campaign
IF the lamp standards are in place . . . light them till midnight. After that there's less traffic. Simply moderate your speed.
IF there are no lamp posts, then maintain cats' eyes REGULARLY. Efficient enough and cost-proportionate.

'Tragedy' of Ribble Valley lorry driver who died after M6 crash
My deepest sympathies to the families of the two wagon drivers who lost their lives in this tragic event. But there is a lesson here for the rest of us. Adam Anderton, on the face of it, has been very lucky. However, if he wasn't switched on to what was going on all around him then I'm sure that the outcome for him would have been very different. Good all round observations and spacial awareness has, undoubtedly, saved his life. A lesson for us all especially at this time of year.
