Crystal Reed stars in Teen Wolf
Teen Wolf star Crystal Reed has revealed that there are more thrills and spills in the show's second series.
The actress, who plays werewolf hunter Allison Argent in the TV series, said fans can expect more gore when the new season kicks off on Sky Living tonight (July 12).
"I think in season two, we take a lot more chances... and it's a little darker," she hinted.
"In the second episode, somebody gets sliced in half. I think you don't see a lot of that - you see it on [cable channels] HBO and Showtime, but you don't see it on TV. I think that is what sets us apart."
Her views were mirrored by co-star Tyler Hoechlin (former head werewolf Derek Hale).
"After we saw how it was received, I think people enjoyed us pushing the envelope a little bit so we wanted to take it to another level, and keep pushing it," he explained.
Tyler also revealed that some new characters will be introduced in season two.
"Derek is building his pack. There are new hunters in town and their numbers are growing, their powers are increasing and Derek has to keep pace. He's bringing his own troops in."
