Ansel Elgort has revealed how he sheds tears whenever he re-watches The Fault In Our Stars.
The 20-year-old, who plays cancer sufferer Augustus Waters in the big-screen adaptation of John Green's novel, admitted he would feel so moved during screenings.
"I cried plenty, especially at the moments where my character would cry," he said.
"It was like going back to being there. All of a sudden, you're watching yourself crying and it's like you think, 'I remember feeling that way on the day', and then I started crying. Any moment I had to cry, I would cry. I cried a lot."
The Fault In Our Stars, which also stars Shailene Woodley as Augustus' fellow cancer sufferer Hazel Lancaster, has been a huge hit in the US, and Ansel said he has already been on the receiving end of more attention.
"I haven't been out and about, I've been shooting another movie in Atlanta, so I haven't really felt it," the actor said.
"The first time I've been walking around since the movie opened is here (in the UK) and I was recognised three or four times, which is weird because the movie isn't out here yet."
But he admitted he's yet to become a recognisable name.
"A few times when I've been recognised in America, (people say), 'You're from Fault In Our Stars. I have no clue what your name is, but you're from that movie'," he added.
:: The Fault In Our Stars opens in cinemas on June 19.
