One Direction are making a follow-up to their hit documentary film This Is Us.
The boy band, whose 2013 movie was a box office hit, are being filmed while they are on their current world tour for material for a sequel, reported the Daily Mirror.
Director Morgan Spurlock - who was at the helm of the first film - confirmed that Harry Styles and co are making a second instalment, saying: "Yes, there will be a follow-up to This Is Us.
"At this moment Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer," he added.
One Direction's song from the documentary, Best Song Ever, was overlooked at the Oscars.
Filmmaker Morgan revealed that Simon Cowell - who put the boys together when they auditioned for The X Factor as solo singers and whose Syco Films oversaw the release of This Is Us - would love to see them win an award for this movie.
"I know Simon Cowell wants the band to get awards for this and was upset when they missed out on being nominated in the music category for an Oscar on our film," he said.
"It was a good song and I was surprised that they weren't even considered. This time he will want them to try again."
This Is Us earned £40 million at the box office worldwide. The DVD release broke UK records.
