Snyder to helm Justice League film
Zack Snyder is set to direct a Justice League movie.
The Man Of Steel filmmaker will work on Warner Bros' first film taking in an ensemble cast of its superheroes, which include Superman and Batman, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The film will pick up after Man Of Steel follow-up, the as-yet-untitled Batman vs Superman movie, which sees Henry Cavill return as Superman, Ben Affleck debut as Batman and Gal Gadot appear as Wonder Woman in 2016.
Warner Bros president of worldwide production Greg Silverman said: "It will be a further expansion of this universe. Batman vs Superman will lead into Justice League."
Henry, Ben and Gal are expected to be back for Justice League, which will be due out in 2018 at the earliest.
It hasn't been confirmed yet which other superheroes will feature, but they could include Cyborg, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.
The franchise will see Warner Bros compete with Marvel's successful superhero universe at Walt Disney.
Although Warner Bros' Dark Knight trilogy was a hit, Green Lantern and Jonah Hex flopped and Justice League almost went into production in 2008 directed by George Miller but was dropped at the last minute.
The studios' president of worldwide marketing Sue Kroll said there were hopes for a Wonder Woman spin-off after Justice League, but no firm plans yet.
She said: "That is our hope. With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her."
