Willoughby: Jessie is better judge
Holly Willoughby has said that the new judging line-up hasn't made much different for the third series of The Voice.
The This Morning presenter, who co-hosted the BBC One singing show for two seasons, admitted she thinks Jessie J is a better mentor than Kylie Minogue.
She told The Sun: "Have there been any improvements? I wouldn't say, 'The show is so much better this year' at all."
Holly's co-presenter Reggie Yates also decided to quit the show last year, along with judges Jessie J and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue. Kylie and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson joined the coaching panel, while Emma Willis and Marvin Humes have taken on presenting duties for this series.
"If you're comparing the coaches, Jessie J was so strong in her critique musically that the singers could really learn something from her. As a vocalist she was on top of her game. She was incredible," Holly continued.
"But then Kylie is a little pocket sex god. She is the pop princess and she has got real warmth to her. So they both bring completely different things to the table."
The 32-year-old added: "If I was on the show, Jessie would probably be the only person who had a hope in helping me to sing. She has her clever skills and is a really hard task-master. She would definitely have whipped me into shape."
Holly - who revealed she left so she could spend more time with her two children - also said Ricky is very "similar" to Danny.
"The thing about Danny and Ricky is that they are very similar. They bring similar things to the show because of who they are and what they do. They are both real frontmen who are passionate about their music," she said.
