Fatherhood still fun for Wallace
Danny Wallace has revealed that being a father hasn't lost its thrills.
The writer and comedian, who has a four-year-old son, Elliot, with Australian publicist wife Lizzie, admitted that fatherhood can be tiring.
"Fatherhood just gets better and better. Of course, I see my friends less - obviously not good for my health as I now realise - and parenting is knackering a lot of the time," he said.
"But you don't realise how much love it's possible for your heart to hold until you have a little kid. He's weirdly obsessed with automatic car washes, but is also car sick."
The 37-year-old added: "I allowed him to be sick in my hand the other day so he wouldn't ruin the upholstery in my best mate's new car that we were travelling in. Truly, I wouldn't do that for anyone else! No, don't even ask me..."
Danny joked that he also has to "man-up" and be more dad-like.
"I've also had to man-up and read instruction manuals, understand an electric drill, and look like I know what I'm doing with an Allen key. In short, I'm trying to be 'dad-like' and have the answers to all his 'why' questions," he said.
