Sinead O'Connor wants Liam and Noel Gallagher to make up
Sinead O'Connor has claimed that Noel Gallagher once asked her to marry him.
The Nothing Compares 2 U singer told Uncut magazine that the former Oasis star wouldn't remember the drunken encounter at a Dutch music festival.
She made the comment in a Q&A session in the mag, answering a question submitted by Noel's estranged brother Liam.
The Beady Eye frontman asked: "You've always been effortlessly cool. How do you manage that?", to which Sinead replied, "Oh, that's sweet. I've never seen myself as cool, but I'm flattered. "
She reportedly told the mag: "Actually, Liam's brother Noel once asked me to marry him, just before he married Meg Mathews. He won't remember, as he was off his face [drunk] at a festival in Amsterdam."
Sinead also called on Noel, who wed his first wife Meg in 1997, and Liam to put their differences behind them and reunite for the sake of their mum, Peggy.
Noel and Meg divorced in 2001, and the High Flying Birds singer married long-term girlfriend Sara MacDonald in 2011.
