Arnold Schwarzenegger and Johnny Knoxville star in The Last Stand
Arnold Schwarzenegger reckons his career is like that of a Roman emperor.
The action hero makes his first starring role since he stepped down as Governor of California in 2010 in The Last Stand, in which he plays a veteran cop.
And Arnie told the Hollywood Reporter: "Cincinnatus was a farmer, and he became the emperor of Rome, and then went to farming again, because his time of service was over; that's exactly how I look at it."
He added: "The idea was always that I would step out of my showbusiness profession and give seven years of my life to public service and then go back to what I was doing."
The film - which also stars Johnny Knoxville, Rodrigo Santoro and How To Make It In America's Luis Guzman - sees Terminator star Arnie's character suddenly heading the mission to capture an escaped drugs baron.
