Former Coronation Street star Sam Robertson has become the second housemate to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother - and he is "delighted" to be out.

The 27-year-old Scotsman, known for being a member of the famous Barlow family on the Weatherfield cobbles, lost out to fellow soap star Ryan Maloney who viewers will recognise as Toadie in Neighbours.

The latest evictee appeared to be surprised at a few boos directed his way as he left the house, saying: "I don't know, I thought I'd been quite nice."

Casually dressed in a sporty top with his collar turned up, Robertson told host Brian Dowling that he was "bored most of the time" and said: "I'm delighted to be out. He added: "I just couldn't wait to get out really. It's been fun but I've had enough."

Talking about just how tedious he found his time on the show, he said: "It's so much more boring than I thought it would be."

Robertson said he hopes glamour girl Lacey Banghard wins the show, but when quizzed by Dowling on whether there was any chance of romance between the two of them he made it clear he would not go there.

"She's so young and innocent, man," he said, adding: "I wouldn't dare corrupt an innocent young girl like Lacey."

Meanwhile, US reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt returned to the house having staged a fake walk-out on Wednesday night as part of a task.

The married couple - known as Speidi - spent their time in the "basement", watching their fellow housemates on a screen and listening to their conversations on headphones.

When they returned to the house they nominated X Factor wannabe Rylan Clark and Steps star Claire Richards for eviction for being the "dullest reality stars". The programme ended as Clark was vigorously defending himself against the couple's charges.
