RAWTENSTALL'S winning run came to an end ... and the wheels fell of big style!

The Valley side were hammered by Accrington - minus David Lloyd - putting just 48 on the board at Thorneyholme Road.

Accy pro Roy Silva claimed six for 27 as Rawtenstall capitulated. Skipper David Ormerod mopped up the other four wickets for just 15 runs.

The home team made hard work in reply with Nathan McCullum taking four for 24.

Nelson moved to the top of the table with a six-wicket win over strugglers Lowerhouse.

They bowled the Burnley side out for 133, and then got home thanks to Craig McMillan's unbeaten 36.

Nelson are now the only unbeaten team in the league.

Rishton professional Saeed Anward smashed an unbeaten 152 ... and still ended up on the losing side at Bentgate.

He reached his half-century in 35 balls, and drove in 17 fours and four sixes.

But that wasn't enough to reach Haslingden's target of 277.

Steve Dearden hit 95 for the home side, and David Bandy added 70.

Todmorden kept in touch with the leaders with their fourth win ... a six wicket victory over Bacup.

Can't imagine an incomplete Lnacashire League round-up written in the style of Liam Gallagher talking during Pete White'say. Even copying straight from the league website, with permission this time, would be preferable
