Nelson went nap against their UniBond League opponents at Victoria Road.
The Blues took the lead on 26 minutes when Sam Heap raced through to slot home.
Then Heap grabbed his second just before half-time.
Marc Taylor made it 3-0 on 51 minutes with a 40-yard shot, while Kendal’s Lee Mulvaney hit the bar with a shot.
Nelson grabbed their fourth of the afternoon when Chris Howarth knocked in Heap’s cross, and the same layers combined for the fifth.
