Arsenal set to sell out for Turf Moor clash

BURNLEY are anticipating a complete sell-out for their forthcoming Carling Cup quarter final clash with Arsenal, after the 18,500 home allocation sold out last night.

The Clarets were rewarded for beating Chelsea in a penalty shoot-out with a home tie against the Gunners, and supporters have snapped up seats for Tuesday’s game just a week after going on sale.

Only refunded tickets will now available to home fans, while Arsenal are expecting to sell all of their 3,000 allocation.

Chief executive Paul Fletcher said: “It’s fantastic. The message from the club was that we wanted to have a full house supporting Owen Coyle and the team because the manager has commented so often on the impact of the fans.

“The 6,000-plus who went to Chelsea helped us to win the game, and it should be a very even game against Arsenal at Turf Moor with a sell-out crowd behind Burnley, and we’ve still got just under a week to go!”

Supporters still wishing to buy tickets are advised to contact the ticket office on 0871 221 1914 on a daily basis to check for updates on refunded ticket.

We did not sell out that match mate. There were only 17,000 on in total. Get yr facts right befor you comment! You're attendancies dont appear to be very good at the moment, for the size of your ground! When you see glimpses of the stadium on TV, there appear to be thousands of seats empty.

Who knows, they may stuff us, but didn't we all believe that 160 million's worth of Chelsea talent on the night would stuff us? I did!

Its football, and not worth commenting on games befor they happen. If we beat them, brin your lot on! Right now could not be a better time to beat Rovers wi the state they're in at the moment and make up for all the years you've been able to taunt us. Anyhow, we'll see

Incidently, your ground holds 31,367......your last home game there were 21,798. Thats nearly 10 thousand empty seats. Yes the Turf only holds 22,500, but even we dont have 10 thousand empty seats at a match!!!!!!!
