NEW Accrington Stanley goalkeeper Kenny Arthur is looking forward to fulfilling an ambition to play in the Football League.
The Scotland international ended a 15-year association with Partick Thistle when he signed a 12-month contract with League Two Reds yesterday.
Arthur, 28, played against Stanley in a pre-season friendly last summer and admitted he developed a strong affinity for the club.
"I was impressed with the set-up and the style of football they played. The opportunity came up to sign and I was more than delighted to come down. I've always wanted to play in the Football League and I'm ready for a new challenge," said Arthur, who first joined the Jags when he was just 13 and went on to make 280 first team appearances.
Stanley manager John Coleman added: "He's got a great pedigree and he's experienced, and he fits the bill for what we want."
