BURNLEY go into tomorrow’s clash with Swansea City on the back of a surprise draw at Chelsea, but Jack Cork says the Swans are also on a high after beating Manchester United.

Former Clarets loanee Cork returns to Turf Moor tomorrow after helping his new club Swansea to a 2-1 home win over United six days ago.

The 25-year-old joined Swansea from Southampton during the transfer window and is loving life in south Wales.

“For me, beating United was massive,” Cork said.

“Coming to a new club is always hard and to get a result like that in your first three games is a massive achievement.

“Beating United will give everyone a lot of confidence.

“That win will get everyone going, and hopefully it will give us the boost that we needed to kick on for the last 12 games.”

Burnley lost 1-0 at Swansea in August but Garry Monk is full of admiration for the job Sean Dyche has done at Turf Moor.

“Everyone didn’t give them a chance at the start of the season,” said Swans boss Monk.

“I spoke to him when we did a show together.

“From that conversation I thought they’d give a good account of themselves this season.

“I found him a really interesting guy.

“I think they have done very well. They are right amongst it and have a great chance to stay up, which would be an amazing achievement from where they’ve come from.

“They are a very hard-working and well organised team. Sean has done a fantastic job there and I’ve got a lot of respect for him. You can see all the players are playing for him.”
