THE trip to Stoke tomorrow is going to be a tough game but it is the start of three games that are very big for Burnley’s season.

The Britannia is a very difficult place to go, but the two games after that are at home and it’s a great chance to build on that win over Hull.

The games at Turf Moor against Aston Villa and Newcastle are most definitely winnable games. Villa are really struggling of late.

Although Newcastle have improved they could well be towards the bottom at the end of the season, they aren’t the most consistent of teams.

A trip to the Britannia Stadium won’t be easy but I don’t see any reason why Burnley can’t target six, or ideally seven points from these three games.

The win against Hull was great, it has made everyone feel good and given everyone a belief, but they have to back that up now in these next three games by adding another couple of wins to it.

The most important thing that win has done is keep everybody believing, the players and the manager had it, but now the supporters are back to thinking there is a chance of staying up this season.

I’m sure Danny Ings will go into Saturday’s game full of confidence after scoring twice for England Under 21s.

He looks very confident and sure of himself at the moment and I think he’ll be looking to get on the ball in and around the box and get his shots away.

He has got a really good touch in tight situations around the penalty area, which he can use to his advantage.

Finally it was great to see Danny and Sean Dyche win awards at the Northwest Football Awards.

They deserve it for the achievements of last season and I’m sure it will be a great boost for them and hopefully a lift for everyone at the club ahead of a crucial run of games.
