DANNY Ings says England U21s fear no-one ahead of their friendly in France tonight.

The impressive young Lions are on a run of 11 straight victories including Thursday’s 3-1 win over Portugal at Turf Moor where the Burnley striker scored twice.

It took Ings’ total to four goals in six England U21s appearances having also bagged a brace in the 9-0 win over San Marino last November.

While he is pleased with his own record, it is the performances and results of the team that will give opponents cause for concern.

“Looking at us now, other teams will probably fear us because we have a lot of talent and are really close,” he said. “We haven’t got any fear.”

England have been drawn in the same group as Italy, Portugal and Sweden in the European Championships in the Czech Republic next June and Ings will be hoping to be a key member of the squad.

While he has had to play understudy to Saido Berahino and Harry Kane since his first call up, he has seized his chance to show Gareth Southgate why he canplay a pivotal role next summer.

“I’m happy with the progress I am making as an individual,” added Ings who opened his Premier League account in the 3-1 home defeat against Everton last month,

Burnley team-mates Nathaniel Chalobah and Michael Keane are also in the squad for the trip to France for a friendly that will take place in Brest tonight (8pm ko).

However, Fulham keeper Marcus Bettinelli, who was on a season-long loan at Accrington Stanley last term, will not make the trip.

He was named in the squad but has had to pull out due to personal reasons.
