TOM HEATON - 6

Had little chance with any of the West Ham goals, and did not have too many other saves to make.

Kieran Trippier - 7

Shrugged off ankle injury to play and much better offensively, put in some fine crosses and linked up with Boyd.

Michael Duff - 6

Had defended well in the first half but Valencia found space in the box to head West Ham's second goal.

Jason Shackell - 6

The skipper was doing okay until he was beaten in the air by Sakho for the crucial first goal of the match.

Ben Mee - 6

Made a couple of good blocks but could not always stop West Ham’s service from out wide.

Michael Kightly - 6

Some moments of promise and provided the corner for Boyd’s goal but could not follow up his strike at Leicester.

David Jones - 7

Did well in the first half as he started several Burnley attacks with some fine passing on his return from injury.

Scott Arfield - 6

Some bright moments but faded probably hampered by illness after being sick on the pitch just after the interval.

George Boyd - 7

Utilised on the right and always looked a threat, hitting the bar and later getting his first goal for the club.

Danny Ings - 7

Provided an extra dimension to attack on his comeback from injury, causing West Ham some problems with his dribbling.

Lukas Jutkiewicz - 6

Things did not quite come off on a frustrating day. Looked capable of goals but saw one effort ruled out for offside.

MAN OF THE MATCH

George Boyd

Always kept West Ham guessing in possession, twisting and turning as he looked to cut inside on his left foot. Deserved his goal.
