Tom Heaton (7)

Despite plenty of Palace pressure he didn’t have much to do, one comfortable save from Zaha aside.

Kieran Trippier (8)

Not at his best going forward but stood up to the challenge posed by Zaha brilliantly and was excellent defensively.

Michael Duff (7)

Dealt with crosses well but should have been punished for a weak clearing header by Dwight Gayle.

Jason Shackell (8)

Commanding presence at the back under Palace’s bombardment from the wings and alert to clear off the line.

Ben Mee (6)

Had a tough afternoon dealing with Jason Puncheon, who was easily Palace’s most dangerous player.

Scott Arfield (8)

Lancashire Telegraph:

Outstanding aside his saved penalty, at the heart of most good things Burnley did going forward and a constant threat.

David Jones (7)

Drove forward from midfield and linked play well, but occasionally a little slow to release the ball.

Dean Marney (7)

Lancashire Telegraph:

Helped Burnley establish a foothold in game after early pressure and wasn’t overshadowed by McArthur.

George Boyd (8)

Lancashire Telegraph:

Excellent debut, especially first half, showing some lovely touches and working very hard to help out Mee.

Danny Ings (6)

Booked for diving when he could have stayed on his feet and struggled while he was on the pitch.

Lukas Jutkiewicz (8)

Lancashire Telegraph:

Excellent hold-up play and physical presence, which resulted in the late penalty being awarded.
