AN elderly man had to be cut free from his vehicle after a two-car collision in Longsight Road, Holcombe Brook.
Firefighters were called to the incident just after 11pm on Friday.
Crews used special cutting gear to release the man from the Peugeot car he was driving.
He was taken to hospital suffering suspected hip and shoulder injuries.
The two occupants in the other vehicle managed to get free themselves.
