ROADworks will start in the centre of Barrowford on Monday and last for around six weeks.
The work involves installing a new mini-roundabout, puffin crossing and road hump as well as amending the zebra crossing and bus stops near the junction of Gisburn Road and Halstead Lane. The changes are required as part of the planning permission granted for the construction of the Booths supermarket.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys as it is expected the scheme will lead to congestion, especially during peak times.Temporary traffic lights will be in place while work is carried out.
Lancashire County Council has said the work will be restricted to between 7am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays, although some work might need to be done outside of these times.
