THE former Tubbs building in Colne is set to be turned into a bar and restaurant after plans were approved.

Councillors voted to grant planning permission for the work after late alterations from the developers saw an extension at the back of the building, in Albert Road, removed.

That means that the kitchen will need to be relocated before the restaurant side of the business can open.

The bar and restaurant will be operated by the same management team that run the Venue bar, opposite, and they are keen to open a restaurant to complement the existing facilities in that area.
