2:00pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in Pendle
A FORMER council leader has been selected by Labour in their bid to unseat Pendle Conservative MP Andrew Stephenson in just under two years time.
Azhar Ali, who headed Pendle Council from 2001 to 2003, was picked by local members to overturn the Tories’ 3,585 majority in the 2010 General Election.
