Information plea as four are arrested after brawl near Pendle pub

FOUR men have been bailed by police after weekend violence near a Pendle pub.

Police were called to Gisburn Road where a brawl had broken out close to the recently-reopened George and Dragon pub, just after 11pm on Saturday.

In a six-man fight, two men were left with serious injuries – one 25-year-old had a broken leg and a second was hospitalised with a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.

Four men from the Barrowford area, who were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, were released on police bail until April 1.

Detectives said anyone with information about the incident should call Det Sgt Lukmaan Mulla on 01282 472142 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.

Without naming names, the perpetrators of this are total scum of the earth, I hope a hefty prison sentence follows.

rumour has it that those invoved had all gone out looking for trouble and a fight. The families involved are well know for stirring violence and have been barred from this and other Barrowford pubs by previous landlords.
