Pendle MP praises disabled people
11:15am Monday 10th December 2012 in Pendle
PENDLE MP Andrew Stephenson has praised the contribution disabled people make to society.
Speaking on International Day of Persons with Disabilities he said the government’s disability strategy – Fulfilling Potential – includes a number of measures to support the contribution disabled people make to society.
He said: “After a summer that saw the Paralympic Games completely change the perception of disabled people across the country, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a great opportunity to celebrate the contribution that disabled people make to society.
“We are committed to the this year’s theme — removing barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society for all — and through our role models campaign and funding for disabled peoples user led organisations we can create this society.”

What a load of patronising dribble, This government has removed support from disabled people. They have closed the Remploy factories and cut their benefits. I think this level of patronising is sickening.
