Driver in hospital after pickup truck flips over in Colne

A MAN is in hospital with internal injuries after a car he was travelling in flipped onto its roof in Vivary Way in the early hours.

Police and fire crews were called to the crash scene in Colne, near Boundary Mill, at around 1.35am this morning.

Inspector Andy Carter said: “The pickup truck was on its roof. We believe the incident may have happened following a party.

“One man has been taken to the trauma unit at Royal Preston Hospital with internal injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.”

He said a 21-year-old female was in custody while officers investigate the cause of the crash.
