A DOSSIER of complaints against hospital services in East Lancashire has been made available to the public.
The 100-page dossier, which contains more than 200 complaints against the Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital, has been compiled by Liberal Democrat councillors in Burnley and Pendle to support their calls for emergency facilities to be reinstated at Burnley.
"Blue-light" emergency facilities, along with emergency medical wards, were switched to Blackburn last November.
Many of the complaints include allegations of long waits in corridors - up to five or six hours - before ill patients were admitted to wards.
Pendle Councillor Tony Greaves said: "When you read it from beginning to end, it is a real horror story.
"As far as we are concerned, it is now a public document and we want people to read it and see the extent of the problems."
The dossier is available to download from the Liberal Democrats' campaign website, www. itsournhs.co.uk
