DETECTIVES are appealing for help after two flashers struck - in separate incidents - in Burnley town centre within 36 hours.
Staff working at Burnley Town Hall were the first to witness a suspected flasher, behind the Lava Ignite club in Hammerton Street, last Thursday.
Three female workers spotted a man, in his early 20s, performing an indecent act near to a tree beside the club's car park, at around 11am.
The young man, who is believed to have an Eastern European accent, walked off towards Manchester Road after the incident.
Eyewitnesses say he was around 5ft 11ins tall and was wearing a navy blue track suit top with a white stripe and white tracksuit bottoms with a black stripe. He also had short mousy-coloured hair.
The second incident took place at the new Eden Tree restaurant, a Lebanese eaterie which has opened at the former Litten Tree pub in Yorkshire Street.
Det Sgt Steve Charnley said that on this occasion the man exposed himself, within the restaurant, then left the premises.
He was seen to walk away along nearby Keirby Walk, then turn towards the roundabout, at the junction of Church Street and Yorkshire Street.
DS Charnley added: "He was last seen walking along Centenary Way, towards Tesco, at about 10pm on Friday."
The man being sought by police is aged around 35 and around 5ft 6ins tall, with a small face.
He was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, a dark tracksuit top with a white stripe running down the sleeve.
People who have any information about either of the incidents is asked to contact DS Charnley, at Burnley CID, on 01282 472144.
