HARDY walkers braved the cold to potentially raised thousands of pounds for Pendleside Hospice at the debut of a new seasonal fundraiser.
Charity champions at the Reedley-based organisation staged their inaugural Winter Wander at Padiham’s Gawthorpe Hall.
The Rotary Club of Padiham teamed up with the hospice, providing 11 marshals around the hall’s grounds.
An eye-spy trail was also devised for youngsters and walkers were encouraged to either don Santa suits or some reindeer antlers as they made their way leisurely around the scenic three-mile course.
Festive treats were also handed out to each of the youngsters who completed the scenic route.
