POLICE have released a description of men they want to speak to after a 16-year-old girl was intimidated at a bus stop.

Two cars pulled up alongside the teenager who was waiting for a bus near the Oaks Hotel, in Colne Road, Burnley.

Men in both of the cars tried to encourage the girl to get into the vehicles.

Sgt Matt Henderson said: “This girl was left extremely frightened and intimidated by these unwarranted and wholly inappropriate advances.

“She has been brave in reporting this incident and I would ask that anyone who witnessed this incident or anything similar in that area, to contact us.

“I would also encourage any females in similar circumstances, who may be subjected to this type of behaviour, to report it to us.

“Patrols responded that night and an investigation is on-going. We are supporting the young girl and her family.”

The first car was described as a white ‘executive saloon' type. It contained five or six men of Asian heritage, aged 20 to 25. The driver had very short dark hair, closely trimmed facial hair and a round face. The second vehicle was an older silver hatchback, of a VW Golf size and style. There was only one man in this car and he is described as a thin Asian man in his early 20s.

Anyone with any information about last Saturday's incident, which happened around 7pm, is asked to call 101 quoting log number 1305.
