'I kicked a taxi, so what?', Burnley teenager asked police

A TEENAGE taxi customer kicked the cab twice in a dispute over a fare, a court was told.

Burnley Magistrates’s Court heard how Arron Glover, 18, was interviewed by police and told them: “I kicked a taxi, so what?”

Jobless Glover, who had been drinking, had a criminal record as a youth, but had never been before the court as an adult before.

The defendant, of Paythorne Avenue, Burnley, admitted criminal damage to the tune of £300, on January 5.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay £300 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.
