BRAVE amateur actors are baring all in Colne this week in a musical version of a classic British film.
Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company’s latest production – which runs at the New Market Street venue until Saturday – sees six of its male members go The Full Monty in the stage adaptation of the 1997 movie.
After witnessing their wives’ enthusiasm for a touring strip troupe, the unemployed steelworkers decide to stage their own saucy show.
Instead of being set in 1980s Sheffield, the musical’s action takes place in Buffalo, America.
In the lead roles are, above right, from left, Rob Hartley as Ethan, Mike Wignall as Dave, Gary Leonard as Jerry, Antoni Savage as Horse – for the seventh time – John Hindle as Malcolm and Steve Royle as Harold.
Tickets, costing £12 for adults, £10 concessions and £8 for under 19s, are selling fast with limited availability for tomorrow and Saturday’s 7.30pm performances. Call Visit Pendle at Boundary Mill on 01282 856186 or visit www.phtheatre.co.uk to book.
