Neighbours wanted man to leave Colne street

A MAN arrested for a breach of the peace was the subject of a neighbours' petition to get him out of the Colne street where he had been living, a court heard.

Shaun Spencer, 32, had been evicted from one house on Harrison Drive by Pendle Housing, moved into another and residents were said to want him out.

Spencer swore and refused to leave when police turned up to find him putting clothing in a wheelie bin, Burnley magistrates were told.

The defendant admitted breaching the peace on September 2 and was bound over in the sum of £100 for six months.
