A DIABETES campaigner from the Ribble Valley has met with Nigel Evans MP to ask him to demand improvements to healthcare for people with the condition.
Gordon Dixon travelled to London to meet Mr Evans as part of a lobbying event by Diabetes UK.
He asked him to make the case to local NHS leaders to make diabetes a higher priority and to write to the Government to demand an implementation plan for improving diabetes healthcare nationally.
This follows the publication of the charity’s State of the Nation report, which found poor diabetes care across the country.
