A NELSON pub has had its opening hours reduced after a number of late night incidents.
The Bull Hotel, in Scotland Road, will now close at 12.30am, rather than 3am.
Police bought the licence review because there had been incidents at the premises for “a number of years”.
Pendle licensing committee heard they included a 20-man street brawl in which CCTV captured a doorman wielding a baseball bat and somebody else a piece of wood, and a woman throwing pool balls inside the pub.
Coun Eileen Ansar, who chairs the committee, said: “The evidence was overwhelming and the amount of violence and disorder at the premises meant we had to reduce the hours.”
