A HAUL of cannabis plants with a street value of £17,000 has been seized from a house in the Rosehill area of Burnley.

Police conducted a search warrant at a home in Fairview Road and uncovered 43 plants in two bedrooms They arrested a 61-year-old man on suspicion of producing cannabis, in connection with the find, and he has been released on bail so further inquiries can be made.

The raid was undertaken after concerns were raised by people living nearby.
