Pendle Borough Council still split

THE Conservatives took one seat from the Lib Dems in Pendle giving them a majority 17 - but not enough to form a ruling council.

Labour gained two seats from the Lib Dems, leaving them with 13 and the Lib Dems with 15.

The party leaders have all voiced a willingness to sit down and discuss the leadership of the council.

It is great to see the Pendle people finally giving the LIB DEMS a bloody nose.
Their guru Greaves has let down people in pendle as well as telling lies last week( not the first time!) about the education of lib dem anwar's sons in pakistan over last 3 years.
Time for a change of administration to one which will work for the people.

I do hope there is no coalition between Lib - Con to form an executive as this truely would be a CON!
The people of Pendle in the last local elections sent out a strong message against the ruling group and voted local tory councillors in, there was a fiasco when the Conservative Head Office through Andrew Stevenson refused to take control of the council with Labour to oust the Lib Dems on that occassion. I wonder if they have grown some balls since then and actually deliver on their promises when canvassing for votes.
