SINCE its creation more than 70 years ago, the work of the Royal British Legion has changed to meet the different needs of this important and special community.

Serving in the Falklands, the Gulf War, Northern Ireland, Bosnia or Rwanda can leave scars of many different types. It is the Legion's commitment to help heal those scars.

As long as there are British soldiers, sailors and airmen willing to risk their lives in the service of their country, there will be a Royal British Legion to support them, their families and their dependants.

I do hope you will give generously to the 1996 Poppy Appeal, this most worthwhile cause.
