STAN Ternent enjoyed a double celebration as he collected the April Second Division manager-of-the-month award at a special lunch before Burnley's promotion tour of the town.
The Clarets boss picked up the accolade after guiding his side to six wins in seven games in the month, laying the foundations for clinching promotion by winning at Scunthorpe last Saturday.
"April is a good time to get it, I suppose. But it an honour for the club and the players.
"Fortunately for me I'm the manager and I get the bottle of champagne," said Ternent after receiving the award from Nationwide League representative Chris Hull, who claimed that Ternent's promotion record over the past few seasons ranked him in the country's top 10 managers.
