POLICE have renewed their appeal to trace a motorbike rider involved in a hit and run accident.
He fled the scene after the blue and white Suzuki 400cc GSXR machine collided with a 50cc moped, injuring the rider.
After the accident, the man whom police want to interview ripped the registration plates from the Suzuki and made off on foot.
The accident happened at 7.30pm last Wednesday, May 16, in Bolton Road West, Ramsbottom, at the junction with Ash Grove.
Police say the rider was aged in his late teens, 6ft tall, slim, cleanshaven with short darkish hair. He was wearing a denim jacket and jeans and a black helmet with flashes on the side.
The moped rider was treated in hospital for minor cuts and bruising.
Anyone who can assist police in tracing the Suzuki rider is asked to ring Bury police divisional traffic unit on 856 8072.
