JASON QUEALLY MBE 31, Chorley-based Olympic cycling gold medallist MEMORY: I suppose my first memory was of a camping holiday when I was two or three years old. I remember this blue tent but I don't know where we were on holiday without checking with my parents. I think it was France.

HERO: Superman probably because he was the most popular of the superheroes at the time and it was when all the Superman films starring Christopher Reeve were released.

HOUSE: I was born in Staffordshire and we lived in a new semi-detached house until I was four. I remember the back garden more than anything and the partition picket fence. My mum was from Lancaster and she wanted to move back to Lancashire.

PET: A goldfish called Freddie, when we lived in Stafford. I think he was from a fairground and he didn't live very long.

JOB: I used to work on a market stall in Lancaster selling fruit and vegetables. I started when I was 12 on Saturdays and I think I was paid £5 a day. During the holidays I did Wednesdays as well and I worked there until I was 18. LOVE: I would have to say my present girlfriend, Vicky Pike. We have been together for nine years and we want to get married fairly soon. We're both happy about the idea.

DRINK: I remember the first time I got drunk was on Stone's ginger wine. It was disgusting, vile, horrible stuff. I was about 14 at the time and I never touched it after that.

RECORD: My mother bought me Mr Blue Sky by ELO when I was seven or eight and the first record I bought was Cars by Gary Numan.

HOLIDAY: The first one I can remember was the camping holiday.

CAR: I have never owned a car until now. They have always been in my girlfriend's name. Now I have a Rover 75, a sponsorship car.
