SKIPS should be kept well away from buildings, firefighters have warned after an incident at Read.
Fire crews from Padiham were called to Premier Auto Bodies Ltd, Friendship Mill, Whalley Road after a fire in a skip placed within six inches of the garage had spread to the building.
Minor damage was caused to the exterior of the building with smoke damage inside.
