DRIVERS from Rossendale going to Bury are being warned to avoid Whalley Road in Shuttleworth when work starts next month.
Work will begin in early June affecting the road from Peel brow to the Pack Horse pub and it will take about 11 weeks to complete and will affect Traffic between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
Bury Metro's Highways and Traffic Management Committee chairman Coun Frank Adam said: "By not working during the busy travel to work and home periods we hope to minimise disruption to travellers in the area."
