ECO-friendly householders can look forward to improved composting and recycling facilities.
The news comes after Lancashire County Council signed up to a strategy that makes sure they recycle and compost as much of the county's rubbish as possible.
The initiative has been drawn up over the last three years by the Lancashire Waste Strategy Steering Group and means people will also get more information on how to reduce the amount of waste created and segregated waste collections.
Lancashire County Council leader Hazel Harding, said: "We are pleased to sign up to this strategy that has been developed through partnership of all the councils in Lancashire over the last three years.
"The strategy aims to recycle and compost as much of the county's household waste as possible.
"Achieving these green aims is only possible if the councils and people of Lancashire work together."
