Easts are edged out of knockout

Sunnyhurst A had an excellent win over Northern B winning 6-3 and Burnley A completed the semi-final line-up after they crushed Accrington A 6-0.

There were no surprises in the Division Two and Three quarter-finals. Whalley A beat Accrington B 4-0, Burnley C saw off Whalley B, Northern C beat Feniscowles B 4-0 and the red-hot favourites to lift the trophy, Parkwood A, beat Sunnyhurst B 4-0.

Only two matches took place in the Ladies League due to the weather. Accrington beat Parkwood 5-4 and Burnley B beat Northern B 6-3.

The top of the league clash in the Mixed between Burnley A and Sunnyhurst A was won by the Burnley side in a very tight match which finished 2-2, but Burnley A won by a set on the countback.

Parkwood had a fine win over East Lancs 4-0. Whalley hammered Northern 4-0 and Burnley B beat Sunnyhrust B on games after the sides finished 2-2 in rubbers. DIVISION ONE
