THE Bury Times will be taking on the British Army and the police force during this Saturday's (June 16) Ramsbottom Festival of Sport!
The three organisations will be among a host of professional organisations taking part in the five-a-side soccer Cascade Chemical Cup which is the highlight of the annual Ramsbottom and District Sports Advisory Council's (RADSAC) Festival of Sport.
Other competitors include Tower FM, the Oldham Evening Chronicle, Bury Fire Brigade, a team of solicitors and the referees themselves.
Entry is free to teams of seven, including two subs, and the competition will be run on a mini-league or Round Robin basis subject to the number of squads registered.
Ramsbottom's Nuttall Park is the venue for the competition which starts at 12 noon on Saturday.
Any teams wishing to take part should contact Steve Orr on 01706 82 5422 before 10pm on Friday or Terry Morgan on 0777 310 4203 before 10am on Saturday. All teams must register by 12 noon on the day. No studs only training shoes.
