POLICE stopped a bus and arrested a suspected burglar on a busy main road.
A 27-year-old from Bacup was charged with committing a burglary in the Manchester Road area of Accrington yesterday afternoon.
He was arrested after members of the public saw him jump on to a bus in Manchester Road.
Uniformed officers pulled the bus over and arrested the man. He was due in court this morning.
Police were expected to ask for him to be remanded in police custody for further questioning.
A quantity of jewellery was stolen from the house.
