A GROUP of charity workers who have clocked up almost a century of hard work between them marked their achievement with Devon cream tea.
The four women, who work for Macmillan Cancer Relief, were joined by dozens of other fund-raisers at the Whitehall Hotel and Country Club, in Ross Street, Darwen, where they were presented with their medals of honour.
Of the quartet, Brenda Cronshaw has worked for the charity for 20 years, Margaret Watson for 25 years, Jenny Whalley for 20 and Norina Yates for 17 and all were presented with their silverware by Chris Andrews, the charity's northern England director.
