LORRAINE Skeech is the new president of the Leigh and District Soroptimist International.
Mrs Skeech has been a member of the organisation for seven years and hopes to support dyslexia and diabetic societies and Derian House during her year in office.
Mrs Skeech, a qualified nurse who has worked in the NHS for 21 years, now runs a family business with husband Melvyn in Earlestown. Her hobbies include dancing and reading. Mrs Skeech is also a governor of a primary school and on the local hospital's welfare association. Lorraine Skeech, centre?
