A CHURCH is endeavouring to answer peoples' spiritual 'hot potatoes' over the coming weeks.

Kay Street Baptist Church in Rawtenstall, is running a free course starting on June 20, entitled Any Questions? for those wanting to investigate the Christian faith.

Topics to be discussed during the five evening sessions include, is there a God?, what is so special about Jesus?, can I trust the Bible?, why doesn't God stop the suffering? and What's the Catch?

The sessions will start at 7pm with a meal followed by a short talk and a opportunity to discuss any burning issues or questions.

The Rev Adrian Argile, minister of Kay Street Baptist, who is leading the course said: "These sessions are open to everyone. The last course we ran was very successful, with quite a number of people having visited the church during open house, when we turned the church hall into a First Century Palestine Street.

"The open house attracted hundreds of visitors who were fascinated by Jesus and how he lived, and this course is for those who want to go a step further and learn more about him and what Christianity is all about.

"We are also hoping to attract those who have accepted a free video of the Jesus film, which we have been handing out to residents in Rawtenstall over the past few weeks".

The free five-week course runs from 7-9pm at Kay Street Baptist Church. Anyone interested can ring Mr Argile on 01706 213725 or 01706 831195 or pop into the church and pick up a leaflet.
